Sports Club Victoria football club and Uganda Cranes players, Denis Iguma and Savio Kabugo are being sought by Democratic Republic of Congo’s champions, T.P Mazembe, Kawowo Sports has reliably learnt.
The two players whose team chemistry has continued to gel for the better ever since they started playing together at Sports Club Victoria University three years ago are being sought by the money laden club.
“Savio (Kabugo) and Iguma will be departing for DR Congo in the next 8 days for further personal negotiations with the club”, a highly placed source that prefers anonymity for fear of Sabotage confirms to Kawowo Sports.
The duo has since played as a unit at the club in the FUFA Big league, FUFA Super league and at the national team in close to 20 games.

Though Kabugo and Iguma still have running contracts (each left with 6 months), the source further adds that the Congolese club is willing to initiate a buyout clause before other clubs most probably the South African teams can snatch them.
“The T.P Mazembe offer is irresistible. No team on the African continent can reject that money they are offering for the two players”, he says.

It is believed that T.P Mazembe is offering close to $ 100,000 for the duo. Iguma and Kabugo will definitely face stiff competition from the current available defenders at the club in Eric Nkulukuta, Mao Kasongo, Joel Kimwaki, Salif Coulibabliy and Richard Boatenge.
T.P Mazembe is one of the richest clubs on the African continent with state of the art facilities, a well remuneration system of players and officials, personalized private jet for the club,a television and radio station, well defined youth structures and a huge financial base of getting steady revenue for the club.
